History

BioScience Slovakia Ltd. was founded in 2004 with the vision of providing professional consultancy on commercialization of biotechnology research and innovation emerging in Slovakia.

BioScience Slovakia realizes technology transfer through the establishment of R&D micro-businesses and spin-offs and by providing expertise and consultancy services to these companies.

Since its establishment, BioScience Slovakia has partnered with the French company Eurobiobiz, organizing two successful workshops „BioBiz Workshop“ in Slovakia, focusing strictly on technology transfer and targeted entrepreneurship training for scientists interested in running businesses in science and biotechnology.

Between 2005 and 2007 BioScience Slovakia partnered with the Austrian state organization Life Sciences Austria LISA, with which we prepared and implemented an international project focusing on identification and evaluation of business plans in the Central and Eastern Europe under the name „Best of Biotech “ – the competition of business plans for science and biotechnology.

From 2006 to 2008, the company provided professional coaching and evaluation services to for the international project BioVenture Academy in Brno and Zahreb with the support of the European project NowEurope and the Sixth Framework Programme.

In 2005 and 2006 BioScience Slovakia was member of the network „SMEs go Life Sciences” with broad European participation and support of the Sixth Framework Programme.
